	Claus blev i 2005 medlem af U3's bestyrelse og arbejder som konsulent på deltid for U3.
	Claus er adjunkt ved Institut for Produktionsledelse på Københavns Handelshøjskole. Han også PhD i ledelse af innovation. Emnet for hans PhD-afdeling var brug af formelle ledelsessystemer (Stage-Gate) og deres virkning på organisationen og dens resultater.
	Claus har "Masters degree in Economics and Business Administration" fra Københavns Handelshøjsskole og har tidligere arbejdet seks år i industrien assistent til bestyrelsen, ledelseskonsulent i design management og rådgiver i forbindelse med køb og salg af virksomheder med særlig vægt på udviklingsmuligheder og små og mellemstore virksomheder.
